JD Edwards Developer - Up to $36 hr Contract to hire
Need someone that knows JD Edwards rules of programming in a batch application and rules of application programming. Don't have a CNC person on staff (build and deploy packages, upgrades, issues. Knows the event rules, knows changes to the existing canned programmer, knows the debugger rules and interactive and batch parts. Light on CNC, data mapping (EUVs) and reportscape, sales order entry modules, manufacturing. User support was a plus for them.

* Design, develop, implement, and maintain JD Edwards OneWorld application modules. This will include future changes to the existing system modules to support management controls of key business functions.
* Analyze functional requirements, identify options for meeting technical solutions, and recommend a course of action.
* Design and implement application changes that are best suited to the business functionality required.
* Ability to implement changes in a manner that ensures optimal application performance and controlled change management to the technical operating environment.
* Ability to develop and maintain detailed technical system documentation.
* Develop and follow departmental procedures and standards for programming, implementation and ongoing support.
* Develop and follow procedures regarding system security for protecting and monitoring application source code, including system recovery and backup.
* Develop and follow procedures for system change control that will ensure that production application/systems are not adversely affected by development migration.
* Ensure timely and accurate system updates, upgrades, fixes, patches and new functionality while maintaining maximum on-line availability to the business user community.
* Ability to identify and resolve system problems before they impact the business functions.

This position is located in the Statesville area.

Position Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 3 to 5 years software development.
Expert understanding of JD Edwards OneWorld at the functional level
Expert understanding of JD Edwards OneWorld application development methodologies.
Experience developing application in a state-of-the art computing environment.
Strong understanding of information technology/system architecture, local, wide area network connectivity, data communication protocols, internet technologies, and computer operating systems.
Sound decision making skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both technology and business language.
