Purpose: This full-time position is primarily a technical testing role working
with an integrated team of developers, product managers, and testing analysts.
This position als includes a tier II support role with responsibility of
researching and supporting current in-place production systems. The analyst
will drive the testing process through develop and execution of test scenarios,
as well as regression testing. This position will als focus on communicating
issue tracking through generation of reports, as well as status of testing
coverage for all software products.
The analyst will have deep knowledge in software testing methodology and the
system development life cycle. This knowledge and experience will be used t
design & maintain test plans, scenarios, and scripts for various software
development efforts. The analyst will als be responsible for performing unit
testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, client
acceptance testing, user interface testing, and production support testing of
these various software products using the plans, tools, and scripts developed.
Participation in design specification reviews and technical documentation
reviews is essential t performing these duties. The analyst's technical skills
will be utilized t construct various testing tools and scripts t be used by
other testing analysts. Also, the analyst will create testing and performance
summary reports clearly communicating t management and clients all testing
results. Finally, the analyst will help prioritize defects t be fixed using an
understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance
Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology
Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
2+ years experience working with ASP, .NET, and MS SQL Server
Ability t read, write, debug and follow ASP/.NET code, C#, SQL Stored
Procedures, SQL Triggers
Responsibilities:
Contribute t the entire software development life cycle from initial
business requirements t deployment & production support
Answer Tier II Client Support questions via phone and e-mail
Design & implement test scenarios & cases
Create & implement test plans and test scripts
Design & development of testing tools for test automation & support
Lead all technical testing efforts including integration testing &
performance testing
Ensure QoS (Quality of Service) levels of software products through
performance test benchmarking
Provide production support of software products by investigating and
recreating reported defects
Work with multiple database interfaces and be familiar with standard web
architectures
Train and mentor other analysts in testing methodology and the software
development life cycle
Assist in implementation of QA standards and continual improvement
activities
