Office 2007 Throws a Curveball

2007-03-01 05:16:00
So I didn't expect to be impressed by Office 2007 all that much. I have not been all that crazy about the "ribbon" interface. But in digging around today in Microsoft Access I found the Collect Data feature. This is very cool stuff.

I tested the HTML Form option and was impressed when I could send an email to my Gmail account and then bring it back to my Outlook 2007 client - then import to Access. I'll have to see if these HTML Form option is supported when you "round trip" an email through Yahoo Mail.

I would like this feature even more if it was integrated or offered as add-on to SQL Server 2005. You can still use the feature to collect some data in Access and then use the Move Data feature to get it into SQL Server. I noticed the Collect Data feature does not work when you are using an ADP Project.
