more TV and Movie stuff

2005-03-04 07:55:00
So the Law and Order: Trail by Jury was just OK. I'll add it to my "Take It or Leave It" TV package. I'll watch it if I don't have better things to do. There's another episode on tonight. I'll probably check it out again. I'll give it another chance.

In other TV news... If done correctly NBC's Americanized version of 'The Office' will be one of the funniest shows on TV ever. Don't miss the premiere on March 24th at 9:30 PM on NBC. This show will breath some new life into NBC's Thursday night line up famous for classics like Friends, Seinfeld, and Cheers. How could you go wrong with Steve Carell formerly of the Daily Show? Rainn Wilson(Six Feet Under) will also be on the show.

I just recently saw Rainn being interviewed by Henry Rollins. It was part of Rollin's new show 'Henry's Film Corner' on IFC. Not sure that I would call this show good, but it's Henry just ranting about movies which is kind of cool.

One guy that should get a show on IFC is Michael Geoghegan. His podcast about movie reviews is very professionally done. I've been listening for the last couple of weeks. Check out his website here. His Cinephile Series podcast about Apocalypse Now was very cool.
