Robert Half Technology is looking candidates to fill the following 3 roles immediately.
 
1)  GIS Technician...must be able to work with Arc Maps (this is a requirement for the position)
     $30/hour

2) Database Administrators at various levels have the basic responsibilities enumerated below. Level differentiation consists of degree of demonstrated contribution to improve business performance, technical abilities, interpersonal skills, experience, and level of expected performance.
1.        Is responsible for installing, maintaining, and integrating the business unit's Progress databases
2.        Is responsible for the organization, performance, accessibility, integrity, and security of the business unit's databases.
3.        Will provide assistance and technical support for database users within the business unit.
4.        Is responsible for developing and maintaining a test database environment conducive to efficient and productive development and maintenance of the business unit's information systems.
5.        Will support all Sarbanes Oxley initiatives and auditing activities.
6.        Is responsible for developing standards and procedures to maintain a secure and responsive production database environment. This must include effective turnover procedures, backup and recovery strategies, and operational documentation.
7.        Is responsible for maintaining the Database Administration Standards and Procedures manual, for the respective business unit.
8.        Is responsible for implementing and testing data recovery procedures in support of the business unit's Disaster Recovery Plan.
9.        Is responsible for establishing and maintaining performance metrics for the business unit's database systems.
10.     Is responsible for maintaining adequate after hours production support

Scope & Dimensions:
The scope of this position requires a thorough understanding of database design concepts, maintenance procedures, and performance enhancement methods. The Database Administrator provides guidance to the IT and end user community concerning data structure and data use.

Formal Education and skill set Requirements:
·         BA/BS, 3-6 years related experience,
·         Minimum Guidance Project Reviews Exception Reporting,
·         Responsibility for projects of limited scope,
·         Demonstrated capability in programming and project life cycle methodology management,
·         A basic understanding of multiple business functions and the interdependencies between them
·         Demonstrated capability to solve complex and cross functional problems
·         Lead and work constructively with others
·         Previous MFG/PRO applications experience
·         Experience with Progress Dataserver, SQL-92
·         Experience with QAD Q/LinQ
·         Experience with Unix Scripting/Cron language
