I thought of this while reading one of those non-effective "gas boycott day" SPAM emails...

Normally I am a "free market" kind of guy, but when politics/government interfere with the free market you might as well go with the flow. I suggest that we all start buying gas from just one company, and never buying gas from the other companies. Let's all continue to do this until the government steps in. The government would not allow consumers to forcefully create a gas monopoly. The government would step in and artificially fix the price. Problem solved.
